And when you get hold of them, it usually takes a long time before they resolve my issues.
There is also an issue with their Excel exportation and scheduler. We utilize it to create reports not only to realize which among our products generate more revenue but also to see the level of sales acquired per customer. It provides ease in placing purchase orders and sales. Great software that helps both on our internal and external works.
CONS: Requires training to fully understand and maximize each module. It also took us some time to properly get the correct report for a specific meeting. For one thing, it's very user-friendly and its interface is simple and easy to navigate. It's been a great help and has helped make it easier to access the information we need with very little trouble.
This is a really great characteristic of the software which I think would be invaluable especially when a department like finance is communicating information to another department like manufacturing. A lot of its features have also been helpful when it comes to increasing business efficiencies since the time needed to retrieve data has now been minimized, which also results in a boost in performance.
CONS: If your company decides to use this software you have to make that there is already an expert in Excel onboard because data exporting is one of the software's less user-friendly aspects, with the final product requiring extensive clean-up. The data-exporting process can also be bogged down by file sizes larger than MB. You also can't open a lot of windows simultaneously. PROS: Sage cloud is by far one of the most reliable solutions available in the software market nowadays. It is easy to use and helps us finish tasks faster.
With Sage cloud, my team acquires ease on our business logistics, stock data, unsettled accounts, and customer payments. It even helps make communication with customers and my team easy and quick. CONS: We need to close a particular customer window when we need to deal with another.
The developers should work on this more to provide ease and flexibility to users. I lose fast access to previous year's financials after I place the records on archives. Integrated software takes out instances of redundant data entry and errors. CONS: I wish there's no need to perform multiple steps to accomplish everything, like being able to save a form without recalculating each time.
There are certain aspects such as payroll and progress billing that have a couple more steps that could have been eliminated to make the product more productive. I believe there are products out there, even older ones, that can do a better job.
PROS: Its user-friendly interface makes it easy to use! The contract module contains copy-paste functionality and allows us to store different contracts. This feature comes with paperless capability, eliminating the needs of using conventional data entry and processing.
CONS: Basic reporting tools are not available. It is even hard to look for a specific report on a pool of reports available. What we do to avoid any mix-ups is we generate few reports and make sure each contains rich data in each and have some options to work on them later.
Data should be entered manually. I can easily integrate our sales orders into the software and then access and pull them up when I need them. CONS: Batch processing significantly hampers some of the daily tasks. This is one area that really needs improvement. PROS: I like the fact that I can look up my accounts receivables and payables without exiting the system or calling someone from the accounting department to help out with my search.
CONS: I would have love it if the site isn't too generic, although navigation is okay. That said, I had to teach my self on how to go around as it did not come with any instruction. Back when we were using QuickBooks, we usually took more than 2 hours to get the job done. CONS: While it is an awesome product, batch processing can be somewhat slow, especially if we are working on multiple batches. It impacts real time information and data analysis. PROS: Sage ERP is a user-friendly system and an ideal option for accounts payables, receivables, printing checks, and doing payroll.
It also allows me to generate and print reports after each update, which is great if I want to leave a paper trail for auditing purposes. I can also set up other users with different tasks and then merge their files and see what each user has contributed to the system. CONS: There is nothing to dislike about the product. It may take some training before you get used to the system. Perfect for a small enterprise.
